Fishing With Jimbo On Lanier

Doing some fishing with Jimbo during the postspawn. We were using a wide variety of topwaters, slow sinking swimbaits, small jerkbaits, and a drop shot. On the 1st cast Jimbo caught a MASSIVE 5lb spot on a Farley Swimbait. Jimbo is a really great guy and a ton of fun to fish with, and if you're ever thinking about fishing Lanier; book a trip with him. He taught me a bunch about fishing the lake and some finer points in lure choice and small tweaks to help you catch more bass. I learned that a Spook is a Spook and a Sammy is a Sammy etc. and they're not just "walking baits". We had some lulls throughout the day but when they were biting they were BITING!
