I went fishing with Jimmy Harmon aka Lanier Jim aka The Drop Shot Jedi to learn how the Lake Lanier Bass are transitioning into their Winter patterns. We drop shotted most of the day and fished a jigging spoon some as well. We targeting deep cuts and deep ledges with brush. A lot of the fish we saw on Jimmy's Humminbird were suspending on the structure in 30-40ft of water. We drop shotted Wackem Big Sissy worms in both LJ's Obsession and LJ's Passion which are both fantastic colors for fishing deep. For drop shotting, I use a Denali Rosewood 6'6'' M-F Spinning Rod which is strong enough to handle big fish on light line yet sensative enough to feel the lightest bites in super deep water. Thanks for watching and Merry Christmas!
