Foggy Winter Fishing On Lake Lanier

     Lately the bite on Lanier has been pretty tough, at least for me. Most people have been fishing shallow in cuts with ditches near deep water and throwing reaction baits or a shakey head. This bite has been better in the morning. When the sun gets higher, most people turn to deep timber or deep brush for their fish. I've been trying to locate schools of fish on offshore structure and dropping a drop shot or a blade bait on them. Last Saturday, there was a thick fog that covered the lake in the morning so we stayed near the boat ramp and fished some shallow ditches with a jerkbait. After the fog burned off we got to move around more safely and started fishing offshore with drop shots and blade baits, Check out the video of that day below:
